WordPress Version 2.5 - Good or bad
WordPress recently released version 2.5. Unlike the last major release this version has been a pleasure. To date I have had no plugin compatibility problems nor have I had any other serious problems. Now I don't use their WYSIWYG but do use Blog Desk an open source software to do my posting. The ability to upgrade plugins from within the dashboard has made staying up to date much easier. There have been a few minor problems with one plugin with the upgrade but as that has been a lone occurence it may just have been a temporary server glitch. A lot of the items that have changed are to set up for the next version and I have a sneaky suspicion that the next change may not be quite as smooth. Seems like the major changes are still in the wings. All in all unlike the switch to version 2.3 this is an upgrade that I am strongly recommending. Mike Paetzold |
